Residence-card fees in Poland — what you need to know
Every residence-card application in Poland involves two separate fees, paid into two different accounts. Below we explain how much the fees are for each procedure in 2026 — from the CUKR card to permanent residence — and how to describe the transfer correctly so your case is not delayed.
Fees by procedure
CUKR residence card
The path for Ukrainian citizens under protection based on the special act. It requires, among other things, an active PESEL UKR status and continuous stay in Poland. The stamp duty for the CUKR card is 340 zł, and issuing the card costs 100 zł.
Temporary residence permit
A temporary residence card usually issued for up to 3 years — on the basis of studies, family or work when you hold a separate work permit. The stamp duty is 340 zł plus 100 zł to issue the card. If you are filing a single application for both residence and work, pick “temporary residence + work (single permit)” below — the fee there is higher.
Single permit — temporary residence and work
The so-called single permit combines the right of residence and the right to work for an employer in one document. Note: the stamp duty here is higher than for a plain temporary-residence permit — 440 zł (not 340 zł) plus 100 zł to issue the card. Choose this procedure if your application covers both residence and work at once.
EU Blue Card
A temporary residence permit for highly qualified specialists. The stamp duty here is higher — 440 zł — plus 100 zł to issue the card.
Permanent residence permit
An indefinite right of residence in Poland, e.g. for spouses of Polish citizens and Pole’s Card holders. The stamp duty is 640 zł plus 100 zł for the card.
EU long-term resident
A status recognised across the European Union, granting residence rights after 5 years of legal stay. The stamp duty is 640 zł plus 100 zł to issue the card.
Frequently asked questions
Why are there two transfers?
The stamp duty for processing the application goes to the city or municipal office, while the fee for issuing the card itself goes to the voivodeship office. These are two different institutions and two different accounts. Paying everything into one account is the most common cause of delays.
How much is the CUKR card, and the other procedures?
The CUKR card and a plain temporary residence are 440 zł in total (340 zł stamp duty + 100 zł for the card). The single permit (temporary residence and work) and the EU Blue Card are 540 zł (440 zł stamp duty + 100 zł). Permanent residence and EU long-term resident are 740 zł each. Amounts current for 2026.
What should the transfer title say?
State the type of fee, your full name and your PESEL number — for example: “Opłata za wydanie karty CUKR, Jan Kowalski, PESEL 800101XXXXX”. This lets the office match the payment to your case immediately.
Are the account numbers the same across Poland?
No. The card fee (100 zł) is the same everywhere, but the account differs in each voivodeship, and the stamp-duty account differs in each city. Always confirm the number on the relevant office website; the calculator above gives verified accounts where possible.
Account numbers by voivodeship
Verified account numbers for each of the 16 voivodeships — the residence-card fee account (voivodeship office) and the stamp-duty account (city or municipal office). Always confirm the number on the relevant office website before paying.
