The CUKR residence card is a temporary residence permit granted to Ukrainian citizens on special terms, for 3 years, in place of temporary protection. To get one you have to meet all four conditions at once: hold a current PESEL UKR on the day you file, hold active UKR status on 4 June 2025, keep it until the day the card is issued, and have held it continuously for at least 365 days. Applications are filed electronically only, on the MOS portal; the fees are 340 zł and 100 zł, and the application window closes on 4 March 2027.

What documents you need for the CUKR card application

The whole procedure is electronic. For the application on MOS you prepare:

  • a current photo in digital format
  • confirmations of both payments
  • an electronic signature — Profil Zaufany, a qualified electronic signature or a personal signature (podpis osobisty)

You do not attach your UKR status or your passport — the system verifies them automatically, and the office takes your fingerprints and signature specimen from the registers. The whole process is set out in the CUKR card guide.

How much the CUKR card application costs

The CUKR card carries two fees: 340 zł of stamp duty for granting the temporary residence permit and 100 zł for issuing the residence card — 440 zł in total. You pay both before you send the application, because the transfer confirmations are attachments. The amounts and the account numbers for your voivodeship are in the fee calculator.

Deadlines: by when to file and how long you have to collect the card

A CUKR card application can only be filed up to 4 March 2027 — that is the day the application window closes. After a positive decision you have 60 days from the moment the voivodeship office informs you that the card can be collected: a card not collected within that time is invalidated, and you will not obtain the temporary residence permit.
