Booking a residence-card appointment and residence-card pickup — the voivodeship office in every region
Booking a residence-card appointment and picking up your residence card (including the CUKR card) at the voivodeship office works differently in each of Poland’s 16 voivodeships. Some offices take bookings through an online system, some by e-mail, a few only by phone; in Białystok and Słupsk card pickup needs no booking at all, and in Szczecin and Gorzów it’s the office that contacts you after receiving your application. Below we describe the five ways to book and show which group your region belongs to — separately for submitting the application and for residence-card pickup.
Five ways to book a residence-card appointment
Online system
You book a slot in an external system (e.g. bezkolejki.eu or kolejka.gdansk.uw.gov.pl). The most common channel — this is how Lower Silesia, Kuyavia-Pomerania, Lublin voivodeship (the Lublin office), Subcarpathia, Pomerania (Gdańsk) and Greater Poland (Poznań) work, among others. Note: in Lower Silesia you don’t pick a date from a calendar — the office assigns dates in the order requests come in and sends yours by e-mail.
You send a message with your details, and the office replies with a date. This is how you book in Lesser Poland (Kraków, Nowy Sącz).
Phone
You call during office hours and agree on a date. This is how submitting works in the Łódź voivodeship (735 956 367, bookings one week ahead) and at the Lublin voivodeship branch offices in Chełm and Zamość. In Katowice you also book the application appointment by phone.
Walk-in
No booking at all — you come in person and wait in line. This is how you submit in Podlaskie (Białystok, desk 5), and booking-free card pickup works in Słupsk (Mon–Fri 12:00–14:45, room 416) and Olsztyn (ticket from the queue machine), among others.
The office contacts you
The reverse flow: you submit the application by post or at the front office, and the office contacts you to set a date. This is how West Pomerania works (Szczecin — online booking suspended since 18.10.2023) and Lubusz (Gorzów Wielkopolski).
CUKR card pickup — you have 60 days
For the CUKR card you submit the application ONLY online, through the MOS portal (mos.cudzoziemcy.gov.pl) — there is no appointment for submitting, and the voivodeship-office visit is only for collecting the finished card. Once the office notifies you by SMS that the card is ready, you have 60 days to collect it. If you don’t collect the card within that window, you won’t obtain the temporary residence permit and the card will be invalidated. You pay the fees (100 zł for issuing the card + 340 zł stamp duty = 440 zł) together with the application; nothing is due at pickup. CUKR applications can be filed until 4 March 2027 — the closer that deadline gets, the more people may be waiting to collect cards, so keep an eye on your 60 days. Remember: CUKR is a residence card issued under a temporary residence permit; the permit (the decision) and the card (the document) are two different things, and the CUKR track is not the same as a standard temporary-residence application.
MOS 2.0 — you file the residence application online
An application for a temporary residence permit, permanent residence and long-term EU resident status, as well as for the CUKR residence card, is filed online in the Case Handling Module (MOS 2.0, mos.cudzoziemcy.gov.pl). The voivodeship-office visit is then for fingerprinting, supplementing documents and collecting the finished card — not for filing the application itself.
Frequently asked questions
How do residence-card pickup and CUKR card collection work?
Residence-card pickup is usually a separate step from booking the application appointment — you collect a CUKR card the same way as any other residence card. The pickup procedure differs between offices: in Gdańsk card pickup requires booking in advance in the kolejka.gdansk.uw.gov.pl system, in Słupsk no booking is needed (Mon–Fri 12:00–14:45, room 416), and in Łódź, from 9 March 2026, pickup runs exclusively through the on-site ticket machine — no phone call and no booking. Mind the deadline: once the office tells you the card is ready, you have limited time to collect it — for the CUKR card it’s 60 days, after which the card is invalidated.

No. Most voivodeships have online booking, but not everywhere and not for every case. In the Łódź voivodeship application bookings are by phone (735 956 367), and from 9 March 2026 card pickup goes through the ticket machine; in Chełm and Zamość you book by phone; in Lesser Poland — by e-mail; in Białystok it’s walk-in; in Kielce you submit in person or by post (prepared in MOS); and in Szczecin and Gorzów the office contacts you after receiving your application.
How do you know the data is current?
Every booking rule comes directly from an office’s official website (gov.pl / uw.gov.pl domains), and we update it whenever a procedure changes. For each office we also show the source the data comes from.
Does Dopomo book the appointment for me?
No. Automated booking and monitoring of free slots are forbidden by office rules — the Lower Silesia office reports such attempts to law enforcement. Dopomo only shows you where and how to book on your own, and prepares a ready-made e-mail or phone script. Whatever you type stays in your browser.
I picked my voivodeship, but I live in a smaller town — where do I go?
Branch offices (e.g. Toruń, Włocławek, Kalisz, Konin, Chełm, Zamość, Słupsk) often book differently from the voivodeship’s main office. That’s why, after the voivodeship, you also pick a specific office on this page — the answer can differ within a single region.
