Temporary residence and work permit
with photo and employer coordination.
The assistant walks you through the application in your language and shows how ready your case is as a percentage. You take the biometric photo as a selfie, we merge your passport scan into a single file, and we handle contact with your employer for you. You pay the 540 zł in fees at the end, once everything is complete.
A free pre-qualification · handling your case and your employer for 299 zł, one-time.
The temporary residence and work permit (the so-called single permit) is one decision by the voivode that gives you a temporary residence card and the right to work for a named employer in a named position. It is for non-EU foreigners taking up or continuing work in Poland, other than seasonal work and posted work (oddelegowanie). You submit the application yourself in the MOS portal, the fees are a 440 zł stamp duty and 100 zł for issuing the card, and after a positive decision you collect the residence card at the voivodeship office.
What documents you need for the temporary residence and work application
You fill in and sign the application electronically in MOS. To the form you attach:
- a current photograph in digital format
- a digital reproduction — a scan or a photo — of every page of your valid travel document
- proof of payment
- załącznik nr 1, signed electronically by your employer
You set up the MOS account and log in yourself via login.gov.pl — nobody can do it for you.
Załącznik nr 1 — the part your employer fills in
Załącznik nr 1 is the employer’s part of the application: a form with the company details, the position and the pay, which the employer signs electronically. They can use a trusted-profile signature (podpis zaufany), a personal signature (podpis osobisty) or a qualified electronic signature — a scan of a handwritten signature does not count. The step-by-step details are in the guide to filling in załącznik nr 1.
What the temporary residence and work permit costs
The temporary residence and work permit comes with two fees: a 440 zł stamp duty for examining the application and 100 zł for issuing the residence card. They are two payments to two different accounts — the stamp duty goes to the city or gmina office, the card fee to the voivodeship office. You can check the amounts for your voivodeship in the fee calculator.
Where and how to submit the temporary residence and work application
You submit the application electronically in the MOS portal (mos.cudzoziemcy.gov.pl), and the case is handled by the voivodeship office for your place of residence. Once you have submitted it, you download a certificate of submission from the system — it replaced the old passport stamp — and your stay remains legal until the end of the proceedings. The application should be examined within 60 days of the complete set of documents being filed. How the portal itself works is explained in the guide to work permits in Poland; you can book your office appointment through appointment booking.
Changing employer, losing your job and collecting the residence card
Changing employer
A change of employer, position, pay, working hours or contract type requires an application to amend the permit — filed before the change is made, not after it. It is not a new application. The fee for an amendment is 220 zł.
Losing your job
You have 15 days to notify the voivode that you have lost your job. The obligation also counts as met if you file an application to amend the permit within 15 working days.
Collecting the residence card
After a positive decision you receive a summons to collect the card in person at the voivodeship office. A card not collected within 60 days of the summons is cancelled, and the fees — the stamp duty and the card fee — are not refunded.
