Residence and work: we guide you and your employer

Temporary residence and work permit
with photo and employer coordination.

The assistant walks you through the application in your language and shows how ready your case is as a percentage. You take the biometric photo as a selfie, we merge your passport scan into a single file, and we handle contact with your employer for you. You pay the 540 zł in fees at the end, once everything is complete.

540 zł
in official fees for the temporary residence and work permit
A 440 zł stamp duty and 100 zł for the residence card. The office does not refund them after a discontinuation, so you pay at the end, once the documents are complete.

The temporary residence and work permit (the so-called single permit) is one decision by the voivode that gives you a temporary residence card and the right to work for a named employer in a named position. It is for non-EU foreigners taking up or continuing work in Poland, other than seasonal work and posted work (oddelegowanie). You submit the application yourself in the MOS portal, the fees are a 440 zł stamp duty and 100 zł for issuing the card, and after a positive decision you collect the residence card at the voivodeship office.

What documents you need for the temporary residence and work application

You fill in and sign the application electronically in MOS. To the form you attach:

  • a current photograph in digital format
  • a digital reproduction — a scan or a photo — of every page of your valid travel document
  • proof of payment
  • załącznik nr 1, signed electronically by your employer

You set up the MOS account and log in yourself via login.gov.pl — nobody can do it for you.

Załącznik nr 1 — the part your employer fills in

Załącznik nr 1 is the employer’s part of the application: a form with the company details, the position and the pay, which the employer signs electronically. They can use a trusted-profile signature (podpis zaufany), a personal signature (podpis osobisty) or a qualified electronic signature — a scan of a handwritten signature does not count. The step-by-step details are in the guide to filling in załącznik nr 1.

What the temporary residence and work permit costs

The temporary residence and work permit comes with two fees: a 440 zł stamp duty for examining the application and 100 zł for issuing the residence card. They are two payments to two different accounts — the stamp duty goes to the city or gmina office, the card fee to the voivodeship office. You can check the amounts for your voivodeship in the fee calculator.

Where and how to submit the temporary residence and work application

You submit the application electronically in the MOS portal (mos.cudzoziemcy.gov.pl), and the case is handled by the voivodeship office for your place of residence. Once you have submitted it, you download a certificate of submission from the system — it replaced the old passport stamp — and your stay remains legal until the end of the proceedings. The application should be examined within 60 days of the complete set of documents being filed. How the portal itself works is explained in the guide to work permits in Poland; you can book your office appointment through appointment booking.

Changing employer, losing your job and collecting the residence card

Changing employer

A change of employer, position, pay, working hours or contract type requires an application to amend the permit — filed before the change is made, not after it. It is not a new application. The fee for an amendment is 220 zł.

Losing your job

You have 15 days to notify the voivode that you have lost your job. The obligation also counts as met if you file an application to amend the permit within 15 working days.

Collecting the residence card

After a positive decision you receive a summons to collect the card in person at the voivodeship office. A card not collected within 60 days of the summons is cancelled, and the fees — the stamp duty and the card fee — are not refunded.

Data from 2025

Where these cases really fail

MOS will accept a flawed application
The portal will accept an application with gaps in it: the submission goes through, and the problem surfaces only weeks later. In 2025, 509 237 people applied for temporary residence. Of the 416 693 cases resolved, only 6.2% ended in refusal, but about 15% were discontinued or left unexamined, meaning the case was closed without the application itself being assessed, usually because of formal defects. Nobody refunds the fees you paid when that happens.
Your employer fills in part of the application
Załącznik nr 1 is filled in and e-signed in MOS by a person authorised to represent the company. Without that signature the application is incomplete, and a gap on the company side stops the whole case. That is why contact with your employer runs through Dopomo first.
You submit the application, not us
We have no access to your MOS account or your Profil Zaufany. You sign and send the application yourself, once you decide everything is ready.
We encrypt the connection and your data
The connection to Dopomo is encrypted, and the data and files on our servers are kept in encrypted form. The keys to them are on our side, and we guard them closely.

Questions and answers

They fill in and e-sign the part of the application about your working conditions: position, contract type, working hours, pay and period. Without it the application cannot be submitted. We do the talking: we explain the task, check the answers and watch the deadlines.
Because the part of the application about your working conditions is filled in and e-signed by your employer, and without it the application is incomplete. As we guide the company through the form, we point out things like the signature of a person authorised to represent it, the number of hours on a zlecenie contract, the hourly rate given together with the hours, and the criminal-record declarations. You do not have to chase the company or explain the rules to it.
In 2025, 509 237 people applied for temporary residence and the offices resolved 416 693 cases, including 328 286 positive decisions and 25 933 refusals, or 6.2% of the resolved total. More often the case is discontinued or left unexamined: 62 474 cases, about 15% of those resolved. Such a case ends without the application ever being assessed, and the fees you paid are gone.
Your pay cannot be below the statutory minimum, whatever your working hours or contract type. The assistant will tell you the current amount. If your contract predates the latest minimum-wage rise, you will often need an annex to it before you submit.
At the end, once your employer is ready and the documents are complete. For the temporary residence and work permit it is 540 zł in total: a 440 zł stamp duty and 100 zł for issuing the residence card, two payments to two different accounts. The office does not refund these fees, so there is no reason to pay them before everything is complete. For a different residence purpose we will confirm the fee in your case.
Yes. You take a selfie with your phone and we turn it into a ready file: a 35 × 45 mm crop, JPG of at least 684 × 883 px, and a clean, even background. We check the office requirements: face, eyes, headwear, how recent the photo is. No photographer visit and no extra charge.
The application takes a scan of your entire travel document as a single PDF (up to 10 MB). We advise scanning every page, blank ones and the covers included, because the stamps matter. With us it is enough to photograph the pages with your phone: we merge them into one file and help spot any missing pages.
No. We prepare everything and guide you through the MOS portal step by step, but you sign and send the application yourself, via login.gov.pl.
No. It is a sensitive section: we show you the MOS questions in advance so you know what to expect, but we do not store your answers.
